A calm voice, any time, in five languages.

It answers the tenth question as warmly as the first. It never corrects, and never tests memory. English and French today; all five languages by month 3.

07 · Wellness

Steps, heart, sleep, quietly.

The watch takes the readings its sensors allow. The family sees the week in the app; the person sees a calm face.

08 · Technology

AVA is software. The watch is its ear and its voice.

The watch hears, sends and speaks, the way a phone does on a call. Everything AVA knows, decides and says runs on our servers.

How a conversation works, in under a second

  1. The person speaks. The watch streams the sound to our servers over its own 4G line.
  2. The voice layer listens. Speech becomes text; it knows when the person has finished.
  3. The brain answers. A language model with AVA’s rules, the person’s story and the moment, through the safety filters.
  4. AVA speaks. In its own voice, back on the watch.
