Readings depend on the final watch model. Wellness readings, never a medical measurement.

How it works: the watch hears and speaks; AVA thinks on our servers, in the family’s region. Nothing thinks on the wrist.

Talking with AVA is live today. The rest is built by month 3; falls, GPS and the call chain come with the pilot, lived with by 50 families from month 5.

How AVA speaks

AVA speaks the way dementia-care guidance recommends: short sentences, one question at a time, never correcting, never testing memory.

  • Short sentences.
  • One question at a time.
  • Never corrects, never tests memory.
  • Answers the twelfth repetition like the first.

Sources: guidance for caregivers from the Alzheimer’s Society (UK), the Alzheimer’s Association (US), the Alzheimer Society of Canada, NHS Wales, the canton of Bern, WHO’s iSupport, DEEP and the Mental Health Foundation; studies of how caregivers talk (Small 2003, Williams 2009) and a Cochrane review of reminiscence (Woods 2018). None of these organisations has reviewed or endorsed AVA.

Our promises

  • Not a medical device, not a replacement for human care.
  • Wellness readings are logged with date and time, never interpreted, and are labelled “wellness reading, not a medical measurement”.
  • In the base product, no camera and no screen to operate: strictly audio.
  • The voice signature is biometric data: explicit consent from the person or their legal representative, stored encrypted, deleted when they stop using AVA.
  • Each family’s data, and the AI that serves it, stay in its region; Swiss FADP and EU GDPR compliance reviewed before the pilot.
  • While the person is out, the family sees where they are; no location history is kept.
  • Everything but the live talk is planned: built by month 3, before the first families; falls, the way home, the call chain and the offline safety net with the pilot from month 5; knowing who’s speaking at the launch.

Prices: USD 99 a month for the person, 229 with the family; the watch USD 279, free with a year committed.
